Design a toy meant for children between the ages of 2-4 years old. The toy must perform a mechanical funtion.
The age between 2-4 is the time in which a child’s ability to think and understand develops. Toys that are interactive for the child enhance their learning and make for an exploratory time.
Material constraints were ply wood and EVA foam.
Break it Down
This exploded view shows all the mechanical components used in the design. When the child hooks an object onto the toy and pushes the tug boat along, the mechanics inside wind the object up “tugging it along”.
